Starting his life in the arts just below the bottom rung of the ladder as an 18-year-old shop assistant in Our Price Records and following up with stints as a holiday camp entertainer (at the same place where Hi-De-Hi was filmed), as a stage-hand at Sadler’s Wells and as a runner for a TV company. In his early twenties, he co-founded Shots, a global magazine/DVD covering short films, pop promos and commercials. For the past 20 years he has published, edited and written about the arts for a range of publications including the Times and the Guardian and has advised many arts and media organisations and was a board member of the National Campaign for the Arts.
After seven years as director of The Tate Will became the first ever Arts Editor for the BBC in 2009 and now, amongst his many arts activities, Will has agreed to be our Patron. It is an enormous privilege for us to have Will onboard not only as a known figurehead for CNarts but someone who is always willing to answer questions and help out with our activities.
